The band started in 1957, formed by four teenage boys from Liverpool, England: Ringo Star, Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison. However, the "beatlemania" just started in 1964. They started playing in a private club called The Cavern and took the eyes of many people (and managers) there. They were called "The BEETLES" at first, but the managers decided to change it to BEATLES. They recorded 29 albums, went in many world tours and made 2 movies, including "Hard Day's Night".
The 'little bugs' got in crisis after Lennon's marriage to the Japanese fan girl, Yoko Ono. A year later, they broke up, letting McCartney and Lennon in a solo carreer. Five years later, John Lennon was killed in front of his house. The murderer claimed to be 'his biggest fan'.
In the end of the 80's, Paul McCartney lost his legal rights on the band's stuff to Michael Jackson, who released recently a new Beatles' album called "Love".
Nowdays, just two of them are alive.
